Deep Pour X is the slower, deeper-layer member of this MAS comparison. Its 2:1 volume ratio, 100:43 weight ratio and two-to-three-inch recommended depth belong together; none should be transferred to Original Deep Pour.
The instructions describe a mixing, transfer and dwell sequence that can occupy a substantial part of the preparation stage. Have the mold supported and sealed before starting, and check the working-temperature recommendation for the entire cure period.
MAS discourages treating this slow casting formula as a quick seal coat. Plan porous-wood preparation separately, with a compatible system and the required surface preparation between stages.
