The independent resin reference
Our Resin Research Methodology & Comparison Standards
Learn how EpoxyResin.app selects products, interprets manufacturer documents, handles uncertainty and separates research from hands-on testing.
Start with the exact formula
We separate coating, casting and specialty resin systems. Brand names and similar packaging are not enough to transfer a mixing ratio or cure schedule. Different package sizes share a page when they contain the same documented formula.
Use sources that can support the claim
Manufacturer instructions, technical data sheets and safety data sheets are our primary sources for operating constraints. An Amazon destination establishes the listed kit option; marketing wording alone does not establish a universal pour limit or safety guarantee.
Keep context attached to specifications
Working time, gel time, demold time and full cure are different milestones. Temperature, sample mass and layer thickness can change the result. We identify those conditions and do not turn a small-sample laboratory number into a large-batch promise.
Handle uncertainty visibly
We preserve disagreements between current linked documents, leave unverified weight ratios unavailable and label Finder results as candidates rather than final approvals. A calculator performs arithmetic; it does not validate chemical compatibility.
Research is not hands-on testing
The initial catalog and guides are document-based research. We do not claim measured clarity, yellowing resistance, strength or ease of use from tests we have not performed. Future test claims would require an identified method, samples, conditions, results and limitations.
Revenue and corrections
Relevant Amazon links can earn commissions. We do not sell rankings or accept payment here to hide documented limitations. See the disclosure and corrections process.
