Start with dimensions and mixed volume

TotalBoat Fathom, Superclear Liquid Glass Deep Pour, and LET'S RESIN Deep Pour target substantial castings, but their advertised depths are not interchangeable permissions. A useful comparison begins with the cavity's length, width, depth, and total resin requirement. Include the shape of the mold and the conditions in the workspace.

Fathom provides particularly explicit qualifications: its instructions distinguish river or slab pours from smaller molds and attach a volume ceiling to the deeper casting allowance. Liquid Glass and LET'S RESIN market two-to-four-inch pours, but the sources reviewed here do not establish a complete matrix covering every combination of depth, batch volume, and temperature. Missing limits should remain questions rather than becoming unlimited allowances.

Fathom favors a substantial, deliberately slow workflow

Fathom recommends a minimum mixed pour volume of half a gallon and discourages very thin pours because they extend curing. This matters when comparing a small flower mold with a larger table cavity. Being sold as a deep-pour system does not make it the best starting point for every miniature casting.

Its four-to-six-hour working description gives a different planning horizon from ordinary coating resin. The technical sheet also describes delayed heat development. An apparently quiet first hour therefore does not establish that the reaction has finished producing heat. Protect the workspace and maintain the specified conditions throughout the relevant cure period.

Liquid Glass requires careful reading of its timing labels

Liquid Glass's technical sheet reports gel behavior for a small sample at a specified temperature. That value cannot be used as the working period for a large mold. Its official application guide instead helps plan the actual mixing sequence: staged mixing, transfer to another container, and prompt pouring after the mixture is ready.

Keep Liquid Glass Deep Pour 2:1 separate from the company's 24 Hour product. A search result containing the words 'Liquid Glass' may refer to either. Fathom and ordinary Liquid Glass publish the same numerical weight ratio, but that coincidence does not make their depth limits, application procedures, or schedules interchangeable.

LET'S RESIN offers a shorter advertised working period

LET'S RESIN advertises eighty minutes of working time; its linked manual presents that as a sixty-to-eighty-minute range. That may fit a straightforward mold-filling session, but the temperature and volume qualifications still matter. A maker spending substantial time arranging inclusions should plan the sequence before combining components.

The manual and official community guide give different preferred temperature ranges. The manual also lists a demold interval without a reference mass. Those differences deserve clarification for an expensive or unusually shaped casting, particularly because the manufacturer says smaller pours can take longer.

Make the final choice with a complete project brief

Send unresolved questions with the actual mold dimensions, resin volume, room temperature, and intended number of layers. Ask which current instructions apply and what condition the previous layer must reach before adding another. For Fathom, the documents already make cooling and firmness part of that decision.

Choose only after those operating conditions fit your project. The evidence supports workflow comparisons; it does not support ranking these products by measured optical clarity, bubble count, or durability.
