Identify the formula before measuring

LET'S RESIN regular Super Clear Casting Epoxy and LET'S RESIN Deep Pour require different mixtures. Regular uses equal volumes of resin and hardener; Deep Pour uses two volumes of resin to one of hardener. An old mixing note from the regular kit is therefore unsuitable for the deep-pour product.

The regular formula's volume limit deserves attention

Measure the cavity and calculate its volume before deciding whether the regular product fits the planned pour. If the volume exceeds the recommendation, do not treat a short depth as permission to ignore it. The guide discusses building larger or deeper molds in layers, which changes the number of batches and waiting stages.

The same instructions state a minimum casting thickness. That means 'regular' should not be read as a universal coating specification either. Check the company's dedicated coating product when the project is primarily a surface finish rather than a mold.

Deep Pour changes the workflow, not just the advertised depth

Deep Pour markets a two-to-four-inch range and a longer working period than the regular formula. These claims make it worth considering for substantial molds, preserved-flower displays, and larger wood projects. They do not establish suitability for every four-inch cavity.

A complete maximum-batch and depth matrix was not verified. Before committing a valuable inclusion or a large quantity of resin, provide the manufacturer with the actual dimensions, total volume, room conditions, and mold type. Ask which current instructions govern that particular casting.

The manual also describes Deep Pour as very thin and recommends a different product for tumblers. More time and greater advertised depth are not advantages if the resin's intended handling does not fit the task.

Give timing and temperature discrepancies a place in the plan

Regular casting guidance distinguishes demolding from full cure and makes removal time depend on project size. Deep Pour's manual likewise separates an earlier demold or tack-free interval from full cure, but it does not supply a reference mass for the early interval. Neither should become an unconditional promise to remove every piece at the earliest listed hour.

Deep Pour's documents also disagree on preferred working temperatures: the linked manual gives 75–85°F, while the official community guide gives 73–78°F. Its working-time descriptions range from sixty-to-eighty minutes to an eighty-minute headline. Match the instructions to the kit and clarify differences that affect your workspace or deadline.

Choose regular or Deep Pour by the confirmed mixture, actual pour volume, intended application, and complete cure workflow. This research does not establish that either product is universally clearer, easier, or more resistant to yellowing.
